The floodgates have opened for 2022 launches. The Center launches a new masstige body care brand and beauty industry veteran Jeanine Lobell has a new color brand set to launch in February. This week also sees the relaunch of Philosophy's iconic Hope In A Jar franchise launched in 1996.

Saltair: Mental wellness and body positivity champion Iskra Lawrence, who has 4.9 million followers on Instagram, joins beauty incubator The Center to launch inclusive body care and personal care brand Saltaire.

The brand is launching with Serum Body Cleansers ($11.99) in six scents followed by Moisturizing Body Lotions ($13.99). The formulas merge proven skincare ingredients with natural botanicals and are packaged to decrease environmental impact, as represented by the 100% recycled aluminum bottles used for both the Serum Body Cleansers and Moisturizing Body Lotions.

Neen: Jeanine Lobell, the makeup artist and beauty industry veteran who founded Stila in 1994 and sold the brand to Estée Lauder in 1999, is jumping back into the brand game. Neen is a consciously formulated cosmetic range that consists of 11 products, including eye shadow, shimmer, cheek, and lip, packaged in refillable compacts created from silicone. The business is a DTC subscription model. Each month, for a fee, buyers receive a postcard in the mail showcasing five models with different skin tones, all wearing the same color shades with various makeup looks. The cards include color samples and a QR code for each look that will direct to the Neen app and show a corresponding makeup tutorial video.

Amanda Caroline Skincare: Model and socialite-turned-entrepreneur Amanda Caroline has an Instagram following of nearly 60,000 and an upcoming Warner Bros. reality TV show called Amanda and Friends. The new skincare brand consists of two hero products: the Haute Lift Serum (£125) and Haute Lift Cream (£120) formulated with Hautelift Complex, a blend of seven ingredients. The products are vegan and designed for sensitive skin.

COLLABORATIONS AND LIMITED EDITIONS

Diptyque: Expanding upon the beloved Eau Rose family, the Maison introduces an Eau Rose Eau de Parfum created by renowned perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, along with three new candles that celebrate the bouquet of notes present within the parfum. To amplify the personality and uncover unexpected, subtle aspects of the flower, such as artichoke, litchi, and chamomile, the EDP blends extracts and absolutes from damascena and centifolia, the two roses used in the original composition of the Eau Rose Eau de toilette. The limited-edition Unleash the Rose collection visuals and packaging designs were created in partnership with florist and artist Maurice Harris.

Kate Hudson x Juice Beauty: Inspired by a longstanding relationship and love of clean beauty, wellness, and environmentalism, Kate Hudson and Juice Beauty founder Karen Behnke partnered to create the customizable Revitalizing Acacia + Rose Powdered Mask ($39). The mask clarifies and hydrates the skin by gently detoxifying impurities with antioxidant-rich, high-tech plant powders.

CATEGORY LAUNCH AND RELAUNCH

Philosophy: Hope In A Jar launched in 1996 with a trailblazing formula that created a product with cult status that evolved into a franchise of hero products. The brand reimagined the iconic franchise through the lens of its dermatological and scientific roots, incorporating boosted technology, modernized clean formulas, and eco-responsible packaging. Developed through biotechnology and green science, five products were reformulated: smooth-glow multitasking moisturizer, eye revival serum-in-cream, skin-resurrection overnight power hydrator, hyaluronic glow moisturizer, and instant glow peeling mousse, with one new launch— biome-balance glow serum. All six products are available at Ulta and the brand’s website.

Josie Maran: The brand is moving into OTC territory with the launch of Intensive Daily Repair Body Butter ($46) for eczema, containing 0.8% of colloidal oatmeal to soothe and protect the skin. The formulation does not contain steroids, mineral oils, or other harsh ingredients often found in OTC and prescription eczema products. This is the first product launched in the brand's new category called Argan Apothecary, which aims to bring clean positioning to OTC formulations. The brand plans to launch a second product later this year.

MCM: The German luxury fashion house debuts the MCM home fragrance collection, an ancillary to the recently launched MCM Eau de Parfum. Seamlessly merging fashion and fragrance, the design of the new Candle ($80) and Reed Diffuser ($90) pay homage to MCM's iconic Cognac Visetos logo pattern, an unmistakable symbol of MCM's travel heritage. The scent is "a sustainable blend of classic and modern elements that fuse together to create an attitude of unbridled optimism and powerful connection," according to Firmenich Master Perfumer Clément Gavarry.

PRODUCT LAUNCH

Two cutting-edge skincare launches are In The Clouds Retinol Alternative, a bi-phase cream oil powered by bakuchiol, vegan collagen, and Kakadu plum, and Digital Defense + Gelee Serum Concentrate blue light–protecting serum with marine actives.

Decorte: In 1992, Moisture Liposome Serum launched as the first multilayered liposome serum with technology that enabled the transport of both water and lipid-soluble components. The 30-year-old product that has achieved cult status in Asia is getting an update. Liposome Advanced Repair Serum ($110) includes anti-aging benefits, new ingredients, increased levels of time-released hydration, and targeting technology. New discoveries in proprietary liposome research have enabled higher concentrations of essential ingredients to be delivered to the skin and help strengthen and revitalize the liposome membrane.

8Greens Plus: Two new products are launching under the brand's latest 8Greens Plus category, a collection of functional real green products: Immunity Gummies ($18.99) is made with a natural tropical citrus flavor and include eight different types of greens PLUS Turmeric, Echinacea, Vitamin C, and Zinc. Mega Energy Effervescent Tablets ($15.99) are made with a natural peach tea flavor and with a blend of eight different types of daily greens plus Guarana, Yerba Mate, and Coffeeberry to stimulate the body's natural energy and provide a reliable source of caffeine.

InnBeauty Project: The brand's newest launch is 10 + 10 More-sturizer! ($34), formulated with 10% Vitamin C Complex to boost collagen and elastin and reduce hyperpigmentation, while the 10% Peptide Complex reduces the appearance of wrinkles and evens skin tone.

Versed: Meet beauty rest in a balm form. It also addresses moisturization and elasticity with black currant and collagen synthesis and firming with shiitake mushroom extract. Available at Target for $17.99.

Live Tinted: A one-of-a-kind solid balm-to-serum stick, Superhue Hyperpigmentation Serum Stick ($34) is packed with powerhouse ingredients niacinamide, THD vitamin C, and bakuchiol that target hyperpigmentation. Lawless Beauty: The brand is building off the Forget the Filler franchise with its second skincare-focused launch, the Forget the Filler Overnight Lip Plumping Mask ($21) formulated with Maxi-Lip, an ingredient which claims to increase lip volume by 40% and hydration by 60%.

Huda Beauty: The first launch of 2022 is a new and improved version of Liquid Matte Lipstick ($20), reformulated to be vegan friendly and extending the range to 16 shades with 8 hours of staying power. This upgrade also boasts the thinnest possible texture infused with the brand's L.O.V.E. Complex (lycopene, olive oil, vitamin A and E, essential fatty acids).
